This has been the worst snowfall in the UK in March for 50 years. Not in Southend, of course! Here two or three inches and we grind to a standstill. But in Wales, where my parents live they know snow. This is snow and it means they are: “Cut Off!”

The elder States Cats (Abbey and Dela) – understandably – are incandescent with rage. The snow covers the cat flap. In their 13 years of world domination they have seen nothing like it, and quite frankly they are unimpressed. Cat calls have reached HQ, Rover had decreed that “Heads will roll” and yet for quite some considerable time – this is the future of life in Wales…
