October Holiday: 2

Yesterday we were not where I expected to be. But sometimes it’s necessary to make the best of a bad job. And the Haycock hotel is always good for recharging the creative batteries. This weekend proved no different

I always knew I had multiple murders. After Midsomer, it’s de riguer. But after a day here, I have multiple murders, multiple murderers, and multiple red herrings. No wonder Symington’s been laughing at my slowness to put this murder mystery to bed. No wonder CC’s investigative team are scratching their head.

Still, that’s what writing is. Full of surprises.

We leave for the boat at godforsaken o’clock tomorrow. Let’s see how much can be written before the excitement of my new home pushes my good intentions out of the scuttle.
