Friday was a day for good news. OH finished his electrical job early and we headed to the city of London cemetery finding the graves, not only two of the first 3 policeman to be killed in the line of duty – Sgts Tucker and Bentley at Houndsditch – but also Dame Anna Neagle and her husband. What saddened me about Bentley’s tomb is it contains the remains of his son, born 13 or so days after he died. A boy who only lived 4 yrs.
On return home, it was to more good news; the boat looks more boatlike. We see it in the steel on Tuesday so expect more pictures.
Today is going to be spent with friends in Sunny Southend. What more can anyone ask?
